NWPA Project Linus

Mission

Mission
Provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets ,that are knitted, crocheted, quilted or fleece tied , lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
We deliver nearly 200 blankets a month to our 3 local Hospitals ( St. Vincent's Health Center, UPMC Hamot St. Vincent Health Center, UPMC Hamot Hospital and Millcreek Community Hospital) , Shelters, and many Agencies that provide a service to children in need receive these blankets regularly. Over 48,000 new handmade blankets have been donated in our 20 years that our local chapter has been active.
