Hello Blanketeers,
Here are a few fun and exciting activities to have an opportunity to meet new volunteers, enjoy an evening of painting, or a day or afternoon of sewing, or just getting out into the community for a bit. We have a lot going on…………
A greatful thank you goes out Blessed Sacrament Church for allowing NWPA Project Linus to host our Spring " Sew In", this past Saturday. Their Brownie Troop # 36383, helped the ladies bring in their supplies and sewing machines at the beginning of the day and my family came at the end of the day to help clean up and take care everything. Just another case of " The Village".

Cocktails and Color Erie
Looking for a night out with the girls, here is a fun opportunity. Sign up your mom, sister, friend for our 2ndAnnual fundraiser for the Spring, an evening at Cocktails and Color – Erie. Located at Millcreek Square in the Millcreek Mall complex. Tickets are $ 40.00 per person/with $10.00 going to our NWPA Project Linus non profit organization, which will help us to purchase blanket making supplies.

the “ Sand Dune” by : Linda. Join us for an exciting evening of fun, with snacks provided by Sam’s Club. It’s BYOB , so bring whatever you might want to quench your thirst. Call your friends and get a group together for the evening.

SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday August 14th- Erie Gives 2018
NWPA Project Linus has a very unique opportunity to take part in this one day Erie Gives on Tuesday August 14th from 8:00am – 8:00pm @ Eriegives.org . We qualify and are registered for this event.
We would ask that if you give to a charity throughout the year, that you would consider donating to NWPA Project Linus on that day. Last year on this one day of fund raising a record breaking 4.4 million dollars were raised here in Erie. That is an incredible amount and a very generous Community.
Your donation to NWPA Project Linus would help us to purchase blanket making materials to help us meet the growing need in our Community of children in need.
Boscov’s is once again reaching out to the community with a Friends Helping Friends day on Tuesday October 16th at the Millcreek Mall from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. ODDS & ENDS:
- UPMC Hamot NICU has an ongoing need of gently used receiving blankets- store bought, that they use to support the tiny heads of the infants in their carriers. They can be dropped off at all of our local drop off locations.
- If you are doing any Spring Cleaning in your Sewing Room- please consider NWPA Project Linus. We can always use pieces and parts of material and yarn.
REMINDERS:
- When you drop off a blanket: please leave your contact information on a piece of paper, so that we can send a note of thanks for your donation.
