109 blankets, 2 sewing machines and just enough room for Mary Lubin and myself to come back to Erie after a wonderful day at Zanadu - Fabric, Yarn & Crafts.
Kids from-BFF ( Best Faithful Friends ) brought 96 flleece blankets to the store on Wednesday. The kids did a great job cutting and tying the fleece blankets.
Zanadu Fabric Yarn and Crafts also donated a dozen blankets. Along with a receiving blanket from Mary, that she was teaching the girls how to make.
It was an awesome day in Kane, Pa.

Fast and Easy Receiving Blanket Class. Come to Zanadu from 11 - 4:30 on March 28th to make this easy blanket. Zanadu will also be taking donations for the Linus Blanket project that day. 
Class prices:
$25.00 if you do not purchase material for project and donate blanket to the Linus Project.
$12.50 if you purchase material at Zanadu and keep blanket. 
$12.50 if you do not purchase material at Zanadu but donate blanket. 
Class fee free: if you purchase material at Zanadu and donate one blanket to Linus. 
These blankets take approx. 1.75 yds of material to complete in a few easy steps.

Zumba-thon

Kappa Delta Pi and the Student Activities Council students at Mercyhurst University @ Erie, PA organized their first ever Zumba-thon for Project Linus yesterday afternoon. It was a great group of girls and the Instructors- Lacey and Kristen kept everyone moving all afternoon. A huge and grateful thank you for all of their efforts.

Hello Blanketeers,                                                                            

A huge, big, gigantic Thank you to all of our Blanketeers that participated in our annual Make A Blanket Day. This year we took in 261 blankets from all of the locations that had hosted a MABD. This total will go up when we have our MABD at Zanadu Fabric Yarn & Craft on the 28^th. So grateful for our dedicated Blanketeers that did come out on such a snowy day.

March 21st

Mercyhurst University’s Alpha Beta Pi Chapter of the International KDP Education Honor Society:

Will be sponsoring a Zumba-thon on Saturday the 21^st from 1:00-4:00 with the proceeds to benefit NWPA Project Linus. This event is only open to students and staff of Mercyhurst University.

With all of the fun events that are coming up,many of you Blanketeers have responded to my request of assistance in cutting the several bolts of muslin needed to be prepared for those events. Still more help is needed and as I have the muslin ready, I will let you ladies know. Thank you so very much.

In the event of severe weather please go to our blogspot and face book page listed below to see if our meeting may be cancelled. That way we are not interfering with the Quilt Shoppes daily business by calling them.
