Hello Blanketeer
Thank you can hardly express to all of you that
made this year’s Erie Give’s fundraiser such a success. We will have to wait
until mid September for our results this year. Stay tuned…
It truly does take a Village—and no truer words have
ever been spoken. We could not do what we do without YOU! Your generous support
allows us to purchase blanket-making supplies such as fabric, batting, and yarn
for our kits. Thanks to this continued support, our chapter has delivered more
than 74,000 blankets over the past 29 years. That represents countless knitted
and crocheted stitches, tied fleece, and lovingly sewn quilts—all made to bring
comfort to children in need.
Odds & Ends:
· There is still in
need of all sizes and types Boy blankets. At this time we are seriously
low on boy blankets. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Reminders:
· When you store or launder your blankets, please
do not use dryer sheets or scented bags or laundry soap, due to children’s
allergies and possible respiratory issues
· Check your completed blankets for pins or long
threads. Please remove them before a child finds them first
