November Newsletter
November 2017
Hello Blanketeers,
What a strange, yet
lovely Fall we have been enjoying this year. Seems more like Summer these past
several weeks than the Fall we are accustomed to. But we know what will be
coming soon enough.
I hope that many of you
that purchased the Boscov’s tickets for the Presale Gala Day on October 5th
were able to attend and see the huge new store in the Millcreek Mall. Our NWPA
Project Linus Chapter had $ 485.00 in tickets sales, which meant that 97 people
bought tickets for our Chapter. Thank you.
The Holiday’s often
bring requests from agencies for blankets to give out to their clients and this
year is no different. Already the count is about 250 above our normal
deliveries. But I always say that there are Linus Angels among us and somehow
the need is always met, it’s just letting our Blanketeers know our needs.
Odds & Ends:
We are still
in need of BOYS Blankets - All sizes and all types. Knitted,
crocheted, quilted and tied fleece.
REMINDERS: If there
are any have groups that are interested in making fleece blankets as a Service
project, please contact me so that I can email you directions for single and
double layer fleece blankets.
